The firm represented Morris
Multimedia, Inc. and Morris Network, Inc., owners of local affiliate Fox WXXV
TV-25, in a case in Federal Court in Gulfport, Mississippi. Morris sustained significant
damage to its tower site transmission and electrical equipment from a high
energy electrical transient which Morris alleged was caused by the electric
company and its contractor during the performance of work on high voltage power
lines. On December 4, 2009, after a four day trial, the jury returned a
unanimous verdict against the defendants, finding our clients' total
damages to be $150,000.
